Welcome to MindfulMe! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the MindfulMe mobile application (“App”) and the services provided by MindfulMe. By using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

  1. Use of the App
    1.1 You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. 1.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account information and passwords used to access the App. 1.3 You agree to use the App for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. User Content
    2.1 The App allows you to enter and store personal data, such as mood scores, feelings, and goals. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to MindfulMe. 2.2 You retain ownership of the content you enter into the App. MindfulMe does not claim any ownership rights to your content.
  3. Prohibited Conduct
    3.1 You agree not to: (a) Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law. (b) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems or networks. (c) Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App. (d) Engage in any conduct that could damage, disable, or overburden the App.
  4. Intellectual Property
    4.1 All content and materials available on the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the property of MindfulMe and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  5. Disclaimer of Warranties
    5.1 The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  6. Limitation of Liability
    6.1 MindfulMe shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App or for the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services or resulting from any goods or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through the App.
  7. Changes to Terms
    7.1 MindfulMe reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs the manner in which MindfulMe collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (“User” or “you”) of the MindfulMe mobile application (“App”). This policy applies to the App and all services offered by MindfulMe.

Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information In order to provide the services, MindfulMe asks users for personal information when signing up. Such personal information includes but is not limited to Name, Email address, and Date of birth. This and other personal data entered by the User, such as mood scores, feelings, goals, and other related information, is stored both locally on the User’s device and hosted on Azure.

1.2 Non-Personal Information The App may collect non-personal information automatically, such as usage statistics and crash reports, to help us improve the App and provide a better user experience. This information is collected in an anonymous and aggregated form and does not personally identify individual Users.

Data Storage and Security

2.1 Local Storage Some data entered by the User in the App, including mood scores, feelings, and goals, is stored locally on the User’s device in an encrypted format. The App utilizes SQLite, a secure and widely used database management system, to ensure data security.

2.2 Cloud Storage Certain data entered by the User may also be transmitted to and stored in a secure SQL database on Microsoft Azure. This database uses encryption to protect the data both in transit and at rest.

2.3 Data Security We take appropriate security measures to protect the data stored within the App and on Azure. These measures include encryption, access controls, and regular security audits. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage or transmission is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate or interact with any third-party services or APIs that would require the transfer of User data outside of the User’s device, except for the storage and management services provided by Microsoft Azure.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this privacy policy at any time. Any changes made will be reflected in the updated policy, and the revised policy will be effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates.
